If you want to discover the next world class deposit, you have got to look no further than Papua New Guinea (PNG), under explored for it is an elephant country. The New Guinea Gold Copper Belt hosts several intrusion-related gold and gold copper deposits.

PNG is home to major mines Lihir (61M Oz gold), Porgera, (32M Oz gold) Ok Tedi (18M Oz gold & 8/Mt Copper) and Panguna.

Malaumanda and Salumei Korosamer are located on the New Guinea Thrust Belt, host to major world class deposits such Freida River (21M Oz gold and 13Mt copper) Wafi Golpu (41M Oz gold & 10Mt copper), Yandera copper, moly & gold), the Kainantu/K92 and Hidden Valley gold mines, etc… all in PNG; and the Grasberg mine (No.1 in the world) in West Papua province of Indonesia side of the international border but all on the same belt.
